Acceptance and eligibility<\/h2><p>These Terms &amp; Conditions (the \u201cTerms\u201d) are an agreement between you and Alpha Handyworks (\u201cAlpha,\u201d \u201cwe,\u201d \u201cus,\u201d or \u201cour\u201d). By visiting our website, creating an account, requesting service, approving an estimate, purchasing a maintenance program, or using a portal, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter an agreement. If you act for an owner, business, association, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section><h2>2. Accounts and portal security<\/h2><p>You must provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your password and verification codes, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. One account may manage multiple authorized properties. Managers, owners, workers, and administrators receive role-based access. You may not share access with an unauthorized person, attempt to enter another account, scrape the platform, introduce harmful code, or interfere with the service.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section id=\"terms-services\"><h2>3. Service requests, scheduling, and estimates<\/h2><p>A website request, portal submission, preferred date, or automated acknowledgment is not a guaranteed appointment. Scheduling is confirmed only when Alpha accepts the request or provides an appointment window. Estimates are based on the information reasonably available and may change when hidden conditions, inaccurate descriptions, code requirements, access limitations, material changes, or additional scope are discovered. We will seek approval before performing separately priced additional work unless immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect people or property and you have authorized emergency discretion.<\/p><div class=\"ahpm-legal-callout\"><strong>NOT AN EMERGENCY SERVICE<\/strong><p>For fire, gas odor, active electrical danger, threats to life, crime, or another immediate hazard, contact 911, the appropriate utility, or emergency service first. Alpha may coordinate repairs after the immediate danger is addressed.<\/p><\/div><\/section>\n        <section><h2>4. Property authority, access, and site conditions<\/h2><p>You confirm that you own the property or have authority to request and approve work. You are responsible for safe and lawful access, accurate lockbox or entry information, notice to occupants when required, securing pets and valuables, identifying known hazards, and disclosing asbestos, lead, mold, unsafe wiring, structural concerns, or other material conditions. Waiting time, return trips, parking, permits, inaccessible areas, or concealed conditions may result in additional charges when disclosed and approved.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section id=\"terms-programs\"><h2>5. Property Care programs and inspections<\/h2><p>Care programs provide the services, visit frequency, response priority, and included labor allowance shown in the applicable plan description or signed agreement. Enrollment may require an initial property inspection before activation so Alpha can verify condition, units, access, serviceability, and the appropriate program. Visual inspections are practical maintenance observations\u2014not engineering, environmental, code, insurance, appraisal, or licensed specialty inspections.<\/p><p>Unless a written plan says otherwise, program fees do not include materials, fixtures, equipment, disposal, permits, major repairs, renovations, emergency response, licensed specialty trades, code remediation, or labor beyond the plan allowance. Those items are quoted separately and require approval.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section><h2>6. Additional work, approvals, and change orders<\/h2><p>You may request work outside a subscription at any time. Alpha may provide a written estimate through the portal or by another documented method. Clicking \u201cApprove,\u201d signing, or otherwise clearly accepting an estimate authorizes the described scope and price. A material scope change requires a revised estimate or change approval. An estimate may expire on the date shown, or after 30 days if no expiration is stated, because labor and material availability can change.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section id=\"terms-payments\"><h2>7. Payments, recurring billing, and taxes<\/h2><p>Prices are shown in U.S. dollars. You authorize Alpha and its payment processor to charge approved one-time work, recurring program fees, applicable taxes, and disclosed fees using the payment method you provide. Full card numbers are handled by the payment processor and are not intended to be stored in the Alpha portal. Recurring programs renew for successive billing periods until automatic renewal or membership is ended as described below. Failed or reversed payments may pause scheduling, program benefits, or portal payment features until resolved.<\/p><p>For additional quoted work, approval and payment timing follow the estimate. The portal may unlock payment after work is marked complete. If a good-faith billing concern exists, contact us promptly so we can review the record.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section id=\"terms-cancellation\"><h2>8. Autopay, membership cancellation, rescheduling, and refunds<\/h2><p>Turning off autopay stops future automatic renewal and moves the account to pay-as-you-go after the current paid period. Canceling a membership also ends membership benefits at the end of the current paid period unless a written agreement or applicable law requires otherwise. These actions do not delete the portal account or prior service records. Fees already earned or covering a current period are generally nonrefundable, except where required by law or expressly stated in writing.<\/p><p>One-time appointment cancellation and rescheduling terms, including any trip or late-cancellation fee, will be disclosed with the booking or estimate when applicable. Alpha may reschedule for safety, severe weather, worker availability, material delays, access problems, or other reasonable operational needs.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section><h2>9. Photos, documents, and user-provided content<\/h2><p>You may upload photos, notes, documents, access instructions, and other content. You retain your rights in that content and grant Alpha a limited license to host, copy, display, and share it with authorized account users, assigned workers, administrators, and service providers as needed to provide, document, support, and defend the requested services. Do not upload unlawful content or information you lack permission to share. Alpha may use deidentified project information for operations, quality, training, or marketing; identifiable customer or interior-property content will not be used for public marketing without permission.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section id=\"terms-communications\"><h2>10. Email, text messages, and electronic records<\/h2><p>You agree that account, scheduling, estimate, payment, inspection, security, and service communications may be delivered electronically. If you separately opt in to text messages, message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Consent to texts is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help when texting is available. Transactional emails necessary to administer an account or active service may continue even if marketing preferences are changed.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section><h2>11. Third-party services<\/h2><p>The website and portals may rely on services such as WordPress hosting, Stripe payment processing, email delivery, cloud storage, analytics, and a future text-messaging provider. Their terms and privacy practices may also apply when you use their hosted features. Alpha is not responsible for an independent third party\u2019s outage or conduct, but we select and use providers to support the service.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section><h2>12. Workmanship and warranty limitations<\/h2><p>Alpha will perform accepted work in a professional manner consistent with the agreed scope. Any project-specific workmanship warranty will be stated in the estimate, invoice, or written agreement. Manufacturer warranties belong to their issuers. Except for promises expressly made in writing and rights that cannot legally be waived, the website, portal, inspections, recommendations, and services are provided \u201cas is\u201d and \u201cas available,\u201d without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted platform availability.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section id=\"terms-liability\"><h2>13. Limitation of liability and responsibility<\/h2><p>To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alpha is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, lost rent, lost profits, loss of use, or losses caused by concealed conditions, inaccurate information, denied access, owner-selected materials, third parties, utilities, ordinary wear, or events outside our reasonable control. Alpha\u2019s aggregate liability arising from a specific service will not exceed the amount paid to Alpha for that service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit.<\/p><p>You agree to defend and indemnify Alpha from third-party claims arising from your lack of authority, unsafe or unlawful site conditions you failed to disclose, misuse of the platform, unlawful content, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by Alpha\u2019s own unlawful conduct.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section><h2>14. Suspension and termination<\/h2><p>Alpha may restrict or terminate access for fraud, nonpayment, threats, harassment, unsafe conditions, repeated denied access, security risk, unlawful use, or material breach. You may stop using the platform at any time, subject to payment and cancellation obligations already incurred. Provisions that by their nature should survive\u2014including payment, ownership, responsibility, and dispute terms\u2014remain effective.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section><h2>15. Governing law and disputes<\/h2><p>These Terms are governed by Illinois law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to send a written description of the dispute and allow 30 days for a good-faith resolution. Unless applicable law requires another forum, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Cook County, Illinois. You may also use any small-claims procedure available to you. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief for security, unauthorized access, or misuse.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section><h2>16. Changes, severability, and entire agreement<\/h2><p>We may update these Terms as services, technology, or law changes. The effective date will be revised, and material changes may be communicated through the website, portal, or email. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance of the updated Terms. If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the accepted estimate or plan, and any signed agreement are the complete agreement for the applicable service; a signed project agreement controls if it directly conflicts with these general Terms.<\/p><\/section>\n        <section id=\"terms-contact\"><h2>17.
